This is a unique challenge blog where we are inspired by and focus on the Vintage; shabby; mixed-media; art journaling; industrial, timeworn and steampunk genres and encompass the talent, flair, expertise and ideas of many artists that we are inspired by. We welcome all types of projects - cards, journaling, assemblage, layouts, albums, atcs, altered art in fact whatever you want to share (as long as it is in good taste).

Travelling Instructions

The fewer rules the better but there have to be some to ensure fairness for all.
To be eligible for the prize these must be adhered to.

1. This is a unique challenge blog where we are inspired by and focus on the Vintage; shabby; mixed-media; art journaling; industrial and steampunk genres. Entries should be influenced by the ideas, techniques or products that enable you to create your entry project in one (or more) of those styles. We do not focus on the work of any one artist but encompass the talent, flair, expertise and ideas of many artists that we are inspired by.
2. The Creative Guides will look for the evidence of these styles in your project when choosing our top 3 Pinworthy Mentions and this will also be checked if your number comes up with Random Org to be the winner of the monthly prize..
3. To be considered for either of these wins then you might like to tell us in your post where your inspiration has come from and how it links to the styles we are promoting. That will help us in our decision making.
4. We welcome all types of projects - cards, journaling, assemblage, layouts, albums, atcs, altered art in fact whatever you want to share (as long as it is in good taste) and although we recognise that there are some beautiful cards and designs with cute and digi images we are sorry but they will not be eligible for prizes in our challenge.
5. Whether you choose to use a classical vintage palette, brights or pastels you are not limited by colour.
6. Challenge contributions must be new projects and follow the theme. They must be posted on your blog on or after the date of the challenge, older posts will not be eligible.
7. We are not an exclusive challenge blog and you can enter our challenge as many times as you would like to and enter in as many other challenges as you wish.
8. When entering the challenge please provide a direct link to your project post so that the Creative Guides can see your work in one click, unfortunately there isn't time to go searching for it.
9. Please include a direct link to 'A Vintage Journey' in your post and mention our name and the challenge theme title in your post too.
10. The challenge linky will close at 6pm (GMT or BST) on the day before the next challenge begins and all entrants must have linked before 6pm to be eligible for consideration for the winner's prize.
11. You may use any products to enter a challenge, they do not have to be from any one particular company.

  1. With my Challenges for Days hat on I'm wondering if this challenge will replace the previous Country View Crafts that Brenda used to run? Certainly sounds interesting and fun good luck XOXO
