Destination Inspiration - November - Terminal #1

All Aboard at Terminal #1!   Greetings fellow Vintage Journey travelers!  Julia here today as your AVJ Creative Guide for this week's Destination Inspiration journey!  We always travel light on these journies - and for the next 4 Mondays in November our travel trunks will contain these 4 essential items:
1.  Product - Idea-ology Ribbon or Jute
2.  Technique - Smudge Stamping - Compendium of Curiosities Vol 3 pg 42
3.  Color - Rusty Hinge
4.  Substrate - a Card 
I went a little dimensional with my card today - using Tim's Acorn Blueprint Framelits along with a mix of Rusty  Hinge and Ground Espresso Distress Inks for fall.  The technique we are using this month is Smudge Stamping.  First I stamped my image on a piece of Ranger Specialty Paper and then immediately rubbed over the image with a clean sponge - giving it a great smudged look! (I tried regular card stock first but the ink dried before I could "smudge" it!! Lesson learned!)
Next I stamped one of the Ledger Script stamps in Rusty Hinge around the Acorn stamping and smudged that in the same manner. (I later cut my panel down to 4"x4".)
 I stamped the acorn a few more times on pieces of Specialty Paper using the same technique of smudging and die cut the individual pieces.
 I layered them over the panel with different thicknesses of foam dots (more under the 'hat' of the acorn, less under the side piece), added a piece of Regions Beyond Tissue Tape on the left side, adhered a piece of Linen Ribbon (sponged with Rusty Hinge) behind the sentiment - attaching it with sweet little Star Fasteners. I layered the whole panel to a slightly larger panel of brown cardstock and layered that to my Rustic Cream card base.  Final card size 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".
