Destination Inspiration - Arriving at Terminal 3

Hi everyone.............. Annie here at Terminal 3 and I am delighted to be joining you on this leg of your journey. In my luggage I have the items from the February Travel bag, which are as follows:
   Product :Tim Holtz stamps
Colour : Hickory Smoke
Technique: Spritz & Flick
Substrate: Card
I hope you have enjoyed the inspiration provided by Sandy and Astrid, who were posted at Terminal's 1 & 2 this month. I am always amazed at the variations in projects you can produce with the same bag of crafty items.
So let's get this journey started:
This is the finished card, but I shall take you through the various steps in the photographs  below x
First of all I Inked all of the card (Substrate) with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink (Colour), using my blending tool. I  also placed a circle on top of the card and blended the ink around it, giving me a lovely sun or moon. I also took Tim's Wildflower Stencil, blending in more of the Hickory Smoke.
The stencilling is now completed in the photograph below and is ready for more layers of Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.
In the photograph below I applied the Hickory Smoke Distress Ink to Tim Holtz New Wildflower Stamps (Product). Again you can see the variations that one colour can provide.
Below I stamped Tim's Wildflower stamp in Versamrk, then applied white embossing powder.  (remember to make sure that the DI is dry before you apply the powder as it will stick to the distress ink if the surface is still a bit wet....so get that heat gun out !! x)
Still building up the layers and decided to use some Jet Black Archival on another Wildflower stamp. It's really coming together now and I am quite happy with the outcome.
Now for some Spritzing and Flicking as seen below (Technique). You can use alcohol inks or paint for this technique, however, I just decided to use  plain old water. I did consider adding some salt, but decided that I did not want the spritzing and flicking to be so bold, which is what happens when you apply salt. In something more grungy or in another colour this would have been fine, but I wanted a delicate and feminine vintage creation. ( Think I must be getting soft in my old age !!!! OK don't answer that !! )
Now some decoration............and having played around with various items from my stash I decided to adhere the doilly as seen below.  I adhered DS  tape down the back of the card and applied the doilly before folding it to the front and adhering with same. The other part of the doilly will come in handy for another project.
I searched some old photographs for a picture of the recipient of this card, however, as I could not find one I decided to use the picture below from Tim Holtz Found Relatives, placing them within a metal frame, again one of Tim's Industrial frames. You can see I was playing with the layout and had placed some ribbon below the framed photo.
I also wanted some butterflies on this project and Tim's  butterfly punch was the perfect size.
The butterflies were also inked with Hickory Smoke DI and Flicked and Spritzed before some pearls were adhered.
One of Tim's sentiment stamps was inked with Jet Black Archival and applied to ribbon.
And finally ........we have the finished card !!!!
Thank You so much for hopping on board and I hope you have enjoyed this Destination Inspiration post. It's always a pleasure to have you join in with us and I hope you have found some ideas along the way.

Do please join us for Terminal 4 next week as the lovely Julie will be your Creative Guide.

Take care and It's goodbye from me xx
