Tag Friday

Hi Everyone
Wow we have been bowled over by your amazing response to the challenge and to our projects, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your wonderful comments, we are so enjoying reading them.
Once the normal calendar kicks in, the second Friday of the challenge will be the day to announce the winner of the previous challenge and to see a project from an earlier winner as a guest Creative Traveller. But we aren't quite into the cycle yet so what better than to share some Tim tags with you to help keep you inspired and ready to hop aboard and join in the challenge.

'Spread your wings and travel' is the theme of my tag using Tim's distressed crackle, faux patina and dimensional collage fragment techniques.  You can find a step x step on my own blog.
Playtime with new stamps and stencils for me... I love all the messy mixed media stuff, textures and techniques - and I sometimes forget the pure joy of just inking and stamping.  That's pretty much what this tag is (with a touch of acetate).  You can see more details over at Words and Pictures.
Something completely different for me - not a flower in sight!  As soon as my Time Traveller stamps arrived I just had to make a something with them along with two new Distress Inks Salty Ocean and Gathered Twigs - I think this will be a favourite colour combination.  There are more details on my blog Live The Dream.
My take on Tim's March tag, all the techniques can of course be seen on Tim's Blog, but to see more detailed photos and how I gave it my own twist just go to Astrid's Artistic Efforts
I thought I would give one of my older stamps sets an airing along with my latest embossing folder, I think they suit each other very well.  You can find further details over HERE.

Still having some travel fun with the ink well and feather movers and shapers stencil I created. For all the inky details, you can visit me right HERE.

I have masked and stamped over the whole tag to create the background and then added a few embellishments. The stamps are mostly from the Purely Random set. I love the film strip and can you see there is a couple added to the cash key?

Its so nice to be here with you all again and I hope you are enjoying Brenda's challenge 'Anything Tim'. Totally awesome entries here and I love to see the various vintage, shabby, retro styles all inspired by Tim, which is what its all about.
The background of this tag is the Eroded Metallic Technique by Tim Holtz, plus stencilling, texture paste, Distress Inks and Idea-ology pieces. Pop over HERE for more details xx

Anyone who follows me regularly will know I always take part in Tim's tag challenges, but as a committed card maker my versions are always translated to fit card blanks. These are a mix of Tim's March tag techniques and inspiration from the Sochi Winter 2014 Olympics. Find out what on earth I'm going on about over at Pushing The Right Buttons.

Well I love tags and for this I wanted to make a tag  to capture the enjoyment of my creative and family journey. I believe it is so exciting not only to enjoy the journey, travel and discover but also to find  time to treasure those memories and be true to your heart. All the details of how I made this can be found at inkypinkycraft. I certainly did lots of creative playtime on this tag x

This Tag Friday was the perfect opportunity for me to play with some of my brand new stamps and Tim's Smudge Technique he used on his March Tag. Archival and Distress Inks, gorgeous vintage images from Tim's new Mercantile, Typography and Nature Walk stamp sets combined with some of my old favorites; Papillon and Classics #1 work so beautifully together. Add a little distress tape, a Pediment, some Ideaology and a spritzed, Latticework stenciled background and wha-lah! Check out how I made these at Creativity is Contagious.

Thank you to all the Creative Guides who have joined me at this pit stop, hopefully this has provided you with some refreshment and an opportunity to re-fuel.

Whilst you are here I would like to remind you that there is a DT call out for a 12th Creative Traveller to join us. We have a very flexible approach to joining in the challenges but do email me, brenda@ourvintagejourney.com for more details.

Also we have some exciting Pinterest boards that we are starting, we would love it if you travelled over to take a look and hopefully consider following our journey there too.

So have a wonderful weekend and remember you have one week left to join in the inaugural challenge, it closes at 6.00 pm (UK time) Thursday 20th March.

Take care, hugs Brenda xx
